Trestle Drawings

Published by David E VinZant Sr.

This image like the first auto bridge image was made just to help define the initial look of the module . I knew that I wanted an auto bridge and a trestle but I did not really define the shape until the bench work was made.

It was at that time I decided the the canyon was too narrow so I widened the canyon.

I made no AutoCAD drawings of the finial Curved trestle because of the complexity of the bridge.

This last image is of the new trestle’s upright. I printed this drawing to scale to make a jig to assemble all of the truss bents. The trestle was assembled free-form based on the desired curve and the span of the canyon.
